Abstract:China in the 21st century will be a country which will have established a industrialization base, have had a sustained and rapid economic growth and thus be a largest and most attractive market in the world. China's economic development trends in the cross-century period have the following characteristics: 1.China will present a moderate and rapid economic growth; 2.The adjustment of economic structure will be accelerated; 3.The reform of economic system will enter the final stage of "storming of heavily fortified positions" 4.Information, industrialization and rural modernization will advance at the same time; 5. greater importance is attached to sci-tech and education; 6.service industry will develop rapidly; 7.The construction in the central and western areas will be accelerated;8.The economic cooperation between Hong Kong and the mainland will expand.
