Abstract: | The Belgian elections in 2003 showed that media attention influenced the success of candidates. This article provides an in-depth discussion on the factors that influence media attention and the roles of media and political parties in determining who of the candidates get the media attention. The multivariate analysis of data indicates that both media logic and party logic are appropriate. |
