Abstract:This paper explores how tourism (henceforth as: trsm-) employment and workplace experiences (hereafter as: exprs.) influence migrant workers' adaptation in the host society. It is argued that trsm-employment provides access to multiple social networks, which also help to compensate for the negative aspects of trsm-work and migration. Furthermore, it is herein dealt with how relationships among international workers inform chain migration, influencing subsequent recruitment practices and migration exprs. Using qualitative and quantitative data, the findings base on a wider study of the exprs. of Polish migrant workers employed in the United Kingdom (U.K.) trsm-sector.
