| Abstract: | This articles traces the evolution and history of the State Hermitage Museum, focusing on the various challenges it has had to face over the years, and especially during the period of the end of perestroika and its impact to the Museum. In addition, the article highlights some of the principles and business processees that Mikhail Piotrovsky, the director of that time adopted to succesfully manage the institution and handle the crisis it faced. |
