| Abstract: | The world's major investment banks are scrambling to grasp opportunities to offer their services as advisers or arrangers in the latest booming area of project finance - infrastructure. Galloping growth rates in some regions, most notably Asia, are fuelling the need for countries to build or upgrade their roads, railways, bridges, power stations , water supply and telephone systems, for example. The need for big infrastructural projects in developing countries has spawned a clutch of investors and advisers. |
