Abstract: | Today organisations are faced with a multitude of challenges in the form of global competition, increasing demands from knoledgeable, discerning customers, environmental concerns, and the need for exports. To retain and expand existing markets through incremental improvements and to diversify into new product lines through innovative developments, R&D is needed. A project selection method has been derived for the R&D Division of an electronical equipment manufacturer in a developing country. A scoring model is used to select and rank projects which have a wide range of objectives and characteristics. |
