Abstract: | An improved dispute settlement system is essential to the strength and predictability of an open trade system. Dispute settlement mechanisms in international trade have become more innovative with the entry into force of the Understanding of Rules and Procedures Governing Disputes annexed to the World Trade Organization Agreement. But the success of this dispute settlement system may be measured, to a great extent, by its capacity to attract the participation of the developing and least developed countries. |
