| Abstract: | This paper seeks to identify how small tourism enterprises in developing countries alleviate the problems related to internet adoption such as poor telecommunications infrastructure, the cost of technology, and a lack of knowledge and skills. Based on a qualitative study on entrepreneurs in Malaysia and Ecuador, the authors show that entrepreneurs have developed innovative means to cope with obstacles related to internet adoption. |
