| Abstract: | When major cost reductions are under way , effective communications are essential with external groups as well as with employees. Hiding or minimizing negative information diminishes credibility and adversely affects the motivation of the very people where support is most essential. Providing timely information will help to create confidence, and thereby a willingness to cooperate with management. The ways of dealing with major lenders, with suppliers and other creditors, with the media and with customers are shown. |
