Abstract:This article reviews the process by which a new paradigm might become established within the management education community. It identifies the assumptions underlying the traditional paradigm, and some of the shortcomings which are causing management educators to question its validity and to review their approach to their work. The process by which the paradigm of management education might change is illustrated through a case study. This shows the way in which an alternative paradigm had been incorporated into the design of a post-experience MBA programme.
