| Abstract: | The author notes first that the intergovernmental tourism policy agenda includes such thorny questions as the dismantling of barriers to travel, finding ways to ensure the safety and security of tourists, and the promotion of sustainable development in areas devoted to tourism. The intergovernmental tourism network needs a greater degree of institutionalised co-operation to plan and implement international ground rules and promotional programmes. (Article in French). |
