Abstract: | Yesterday's rule book is quickly becoming obsolete in today's business environment. But new ingredients for success can be found. While executives cope with meeting their financial objectives, some are stepping back to take a new look. They are fed up with failed plans from the myths of yesterday. These myths are: the lure of financial goals, the assumption of a predictable future, looking for answers and forgetting the questions. Industry is littered with the skeleton of companies that miscalculated trends. Predictability is an artifact of the past. So a reality check must be done, for which a recipe is presented. |
