Abstract:The study of how to bring people and resources together in harmony to achieve a common goal remains one of the most difficult tasks facing management today. The value of developing a corporate mission statement with a vivid vision to enhance and create organizational purpose is addressed and how different organizational cultures affect the employees' vitality are examined. From the vision springs an aligning of all the employees in the organization towards the company's goal. Participation from both the company's customers and employees ensures adoption of the purpose and keeps the purpose dynamic and fresh. This leads to innovation, co-operation, and success of the organization.
