Abstract:Controlling projects is perennial management challenge. Costs, quality, timeliness - all these have to be evaluated and monitored during and after the project. Choosing the most appropriate control and measurement techniques for project members and supervising managers may be as important as the project itself, since inappropriate or inflexible tools can undermine or distort the project's usefulness and achievements. Managers must carefully evaluate information systems and software before choosing any for a project.
