| Abstract: | 1996 will see the basic balance on the basis of supply exceeding demand slightly on the national steel product market. It is estimated that the whole year's consumption of steel products will reach 0.1 billion tons but their total supply amounts to 0.12 billion tons. Besides, the 23 million tons of steel products left in 1995 can also supplement 1996's consumption. In 1996 the prospects of the world steel product market will still be good. The domestic demand for steel products will not increase greatly. For the varieties of steel products to be supplied, some are more, some are less. Overall, the prices of steel products tend to be stable but there will possibly be fluctuations of rising within a narrow range. |
