Abstract:The article claims that achieving an effective employee opinion toward acquisition may be less a process of making fewer acquisitions to firms with more similar cultures than it is an ability to handle cultural differences through cultural learning. This is the first study to explore cultural learning interventions in the integration process following an acquisition. The results suggest that differences are to be bridged in the early stages on the process. Cultural learning interventions develop constructive employee attitudes that may enhance performance in acquisitions.
