Abstract: | This paper introduces a psychological contract typology based on content and exchange balance. The typology was related to diverse psychological consequences as well as type of employment contract, and results were based on German and Belgian data. The findings of the analysis revealed four different contract types: mutual high obligations, employee over-obligation, employee under-obligation and mutual low obligations. The paper calls for further research on the issues raised by this study. |
