Abstract:This study examines the degree of U.K. exporters' regionalization (henceforth as: regztn). Based on an original set of data on more than 350 U.K. exporters, the firm-level (here as: f-l.) findings are contrasted with the U.K. national trade flows and with the geographic spread of the U.K., European and the world's largest multinational enterprises (MNEs). The analysis indicate consistent findings of regionalization regardless of the used classification thresholds or sales matrices. Furthermore, it is also implied that country-level data supports the f-l. findings of regztn. While the analysis shows relatively strong confirming evidence of UK exports regztn., it also indicates of UK exporters possibly being more multi-regional and global oriented than supposed before.
