| Abstract: | The recently implemented court decision to break up Bell to accord with United States anti-trust laws represents a highly significant policy decision which is proving to be influential in other countries as well as the United States. There is constituted a study in the use of alternate methodologies and the different results that may emerge from their application to exactly the same body of empirical data. The center of attention will be on an empirical analysis of the natural monopoly issue as reported in Breaking Up Bell. |
