Abstract: | The importance of training in preparing managers for an intercultural work has become increasingly apparent. The study compares the relative effectiveness of two training techniques, the documentary and the interpersonal method. It consists of an examination of the two forms in a crossed-factorial design. The results demonstrate that both approaches have beneficial effects on managerial performance overseas, apparently by reducing the percevied intensity of their cultural adjustment. In addition, the approaches were found to be comparably effective, suggesting that commonality and additivity of effects exist. |
