| Abstract: | Polygram is spinning off Phonogram division to set up a new A&R base in Cologne in the Rurh area on Jan 1,1989. This is a densely populated area with talent resources.Phonogram was chosen because its image is close to the styles and trends of the region.So far EMI has had a monopoly here.EMI says they will get on well if A&R comes to discover new talents and not to poach on EMI artists. |
