| Abstract: | The market report on consumer packaging concentrates on five major markets in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK. The data period covered is 1986-91 for current trends and 1991-96 for forecasts. The reports cover only that part of packaging industry that is for consumer usage, namely that on the shelves enclosing products for sale, plus wrapping used by shop staff. After an overview of key developments, the five major markets are overviewed: data on turnover, panEuropean market comparisons, on major companies are tabulated. An outlook and forecast data are also presented in the packaging industry of Europe. |
