Abstract:Providing a curriculum that enables students to become specialists in international accounting is a considerable challenge for higher education. International accounting could be divided into two areas: descriptive-comparative accounting and the accounting dimensions of international transactions and multinational companies. The main problems faced by these firms are financial reporting, translation of foreign currency financial statements, information systems, budgets and performance evaluations, audits, taxes. Some recommendations are provided for internationalizing an accounting program.
