| Abstract: | From 1990 to 2000, China's regional economic disparity is apt to be expanded. The eastern coastal areas are still the main growing points for China's economic development. After 2010 , the regional economic disparity will be gradually narrowed. The middle as well as the western areas will become key economic development areas. As for lessening the regional economic disparities, the basic countermoves are as following: adjusting the economic structure of the middle and the western areas, energetically developing the town and township enterprises, enhancing the investment environment of the middle and the western areas, consolidating the regional cooperation and promoting the regional economic integration process, etc. |
