Abstract:Export information is a prerequisite to effective export decision-making and ultimately impacts on export performance. This study measures the combined effects of export information acquisition and use on the export performance of exporting companies from two geographically distant countries, namely the U.K. and New Zealand. The overall results show that the extent to which export information is acquired is positively related to the extent of export information use, and that the extent of export information use is positively related to export performance. In addition, the findings demonstrate a certain degree of consistency btw. the U.K. and New Zealand samples.
