| Abstract: | This article takes a look at the government regulation of medicinal drugs in the UK from 1890 to 2000. The article examines the role of the consumer who demands, the role of the manufacturer and the advertiser who encourage the demand, and the government who regulates the demand primarily for matters of national health. |
