Abstract:Three philosophies - organizational theory, industrial engineering, and behavioral science are focused on achieving and surpassing stated organizational goals. They are combined and four guiding elements are developed. The first is based on sharing vision, the second on encouraging participation, the third on acknowledging performance, and the fourth on rewarding contribution. These elements form a cycle that makes people feel good about their work and motivates them to achieve uncommon performance. The final conclusion is that bringing more participants into an idea, stating expectations, and providing appropriate incentive will reduce the probability of failure.
