Abstract:This report examines the retail market for soft drinks in six major markets: Italy, France, Spain, the United Kingdom (UK), Germany, and Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg). The period under review is 1993-1997, with a future outlook for 1997-2002. Included are all non-alcoholic drinks, excluded are mineral water and fruit juices. For this report, the soft drinks market is divided into five broad sectors: Colas, other carbonates, sport / other drinks, coffee and tea drinks, and still drinks. The report is based on sales through retail outlets only. Sales through horeca (hotels, restaurants and catering) are for the main part excluded.
