| Abstract: | The market increased by 1.2% over the period to stand at FF85.377 ml in 1998 representing a 0.9% increase on the previous year. Furniture was the largest sector with value sales of FF55.193 ml in 1998, an increase of 1.3% over the review period. Household textiles and soft furnishings was the most dynamic sector with an increase in value sales of 1.9% over the period. The market is forecasted to increase by 2.0% between 1998-2001. |
