| Abstract: | Integrating corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in business is a major challenge facing companies currently. With the aid of core-periphery thesis, the article offers potential ways for companies to put CSR initiatives into practice. Seven major patterns of CSR initiative adoption are conceptualized and a new organizing framework for integrating them is presented. The nature of the internal fit between recurring CSR initiatives and business practices that arises is also explored. |
