| Abstract: | The article discusses issues concerning the ethnic minority in media context. The author examines the indigenous Sami media through the analysis of ethnographic data from Sami newsrooms and interviews with Sami journalists. The article highlights the possibilities that alternative media offer for minorities and the maintenance of their own identity, language and culture. The conclusions of the paper also consider the challenges of marginal media. |
