Abstract:Income inequality within and between countries is perhaps the most pressing economic problem facing the globe in the 21st century. Income inequality inside the advanced developed countries is being driven partly by technological innovations that are replacing unskilled workers in Eastern Europe, in the former Soviet Union, in Mexico, in South America, in China and in India and so on... Because of these two revolutions, workers in the advanced developed countries look out the north-facing window of their factories and see long lines of robots filling in job applications.
