Abstract: | China's policy on aggregate supply and demand came into being and has developed in the fluctuations of relationship between aggregate supply and aggregate demand. In the second half of 1984, there appeared a trend of super high-speed economic growth which led to "getting out of control "at macro level". Under such conditions, the policy on aggregate supply and demand featuring tightening the aggregate demand was put into practice. In the early 1986, the economy slipped downward and so the tight policy was forced to be loosened. Since the latter half of 1994, the policy guidance has been gradually shifted to stressing the quality and returns of growth. This policy aims at achieving the dual objectives of both economic growth and stable prices. |
