Abstract:While the profileration of Business Process Reengineering (BPR) methodologies introduced by leading consultants has done much to advance practice, there have been only few published studies analyzing BPR methods. This study is centered on the BPR project which is of more immediate relevance to information systems professionals. This study adds understanding by describing and analyzing the major stages and activities conducted in BPR. The relationships between the key activities of the BPR project stage-activity framework and the sub-systems of the business process change model are oberved, revealing the underlying components of a BPR project.
