| Abstract: | This paper explores the relationships between post-communism, reconstruction and rural tourism development as exemplied in Albania. The contents of the paper are derived from a combination of intermittent fieldwork undertaken within the country since the mid-1970s, supplemented by literature reviews and discussion with Albanians and recent fieldworkers. |
