| Abstract: | This article develops a framework how stakeholders impose coercive and normative pressures on companiesÂ’ environmental practises. The author finds that the way managers act upon these pressures depends upon plant- and parent-company-specific factors, including track record of environmental performance, the competitive position of the parent company and the organizational structure of the plant. |
