| Abstract: | A computer model of the information activity in an organization and its evolution over time is described. The model can be tuned to particular organizations and used to explore the impacts of strategies for the introduction of new information technology. The model is based on the concept of an information map of an organization. The structure is described and its applications are outlined. Some broader conclusions are drawn on the usefulness of computer models in this context. |
