| Abstract: | Integrated Database Management System /IDMS/ Users Association /IUA/ is breaking tradition by developing and selling critically needed software to members at rock bottom prices. It was revealed that IDMS user group has other ambitious plans that will differentiate it from most user associations in the USA. The IUA would like to acquire or merge with other user associations within Computer Associates /CA/ to create a repository of user-group-developed software products that it proposed to sell to CA in exchange for cash or services. CA says it is seriously considering the proposition. IUA's first product, the software called Hot Backup, was created by IUA members and sold to CA. |
