Abstract:Many multinationals investing in China are master hands in international competition. Their diversification in technological conditions, scales of operation and fields of participation is beyond comparison with domestic enterprises. Technological conditions of our enterprises are in a stage of learning, introduction and imitation. In the long run, positive effects of multinationals' investment in China are greater than their negative effects. At present, domestic enterprises may lose some of the market shares, while in the long run they can get back those lost markets. With the graduate perfection of laws on anti-monopoly and anti-unfair competition as well as the improvement of policy environment, the situation of some industries under the control of multinationals might be changed.
