Abstract:This report analyzes the German market for wine. A discrete analysis of sales through the horeca (hotels, restaurants and catering) channel during 1994-98 is included. The focus is shifted to the retail market which is divided into six sectors: still red wine, still white wine, still rosé wine, sparkling wine, fortified wine / vermouth and non-grape wine. The reviewed period is 1994-98, forecasts are for 1998-2003.
