Abstract: | The authors suggest that businesses commonly are willing to take partial measures consistent with a fragmented and frail policy regime. In addition, the decisions of businesses proceed to create, shape and preserve that compromised regime. In this study the authors research the three type of indicators of business responses in North America: commitments regarding emissions, ratings by external organizations and joint political action. The study´s findings suggest that business response is highly vague, with energetic efforts giving only few results. |
