The role of the Arbitration Commission. The present Accord between the Labor Government and trade union movement.Tendencies in Australian views on free collective bargaining as opposed to compulsory arbitration. Unions' steps toward a greater professionalism. Training programmes for Commissioners. Some differences between Australia and Britain. Several proposals are made for extending the work of the Commission. Some of the lessons of Australian experience are summarized.
