Abstract: | The use of expert systems promise to resolve difficulties in reviews of the performance of health service. A key element is the examination of performance indicators. This indicator allows to examine now the performance of an authority compares with all the others. A micro-computer based expert system carries out these analyses successfully. Similar systems are likely to be relevant in other government departments or in any large organization, which wishes to generate rapid analyses of the performance of lower tier organizations. The system described is not a formal audit tool, but an aid to discussion between managements. |
