| Abstract: | Office buildings are management aids. Those who are aware of this can hardly favour cell, open-plan and group offices. International studies not only confirm but indicate the reasons why conventional room concepts can almost not cope with the changes in office work. The "combi" office from Scandinavia offers a possible solution. The new activity mix of office workers is described and analyzed. The technical infrastucture of the work processes is specified. Several standard solutions included into the "combi" system are explored. A simple cost-benefit analysis is provided. |
