Abstract:Expert systems are computer programs that behave like human experts. They enable complex, decision-making information to be inserted into a computer program. Telecommunications companies are beginning to apply this artificial intelligence technology to solve problems. The main areas of pragmatic applications are: centralized help desks, network filtering, network management, capacity planning, operations, and purchasing. Expert systems have significant benefits for corporations, with them, knowledge is available to the entire organization and at all hours of the day.
