| Abstract: | Windows-based document management systems keep track of documents in a new effective way. A brief overview of such systems is presented, with a selected list of Windows Document Management Systems. An example of their effectiveness is the case of a life insurance company which realized a 20 to 60 percent increase in productivity by incorporating new technologies and organizing a variety of data sources into an enterprise-wide network around FileNet Corp's Windows based document management and workflow software, WorkForce Desktop. Some other case stories are outlined too. |
