Abstract:Intuition plays a vital role in successful R&D. Often the non-conforming technologist is the most intuitive, and this attribute helps in the technologist's innovative productivity. The author attributes the superior innovative productivity of certain individuals in his laboratories to their intuition. Colleagues in the same facility with similar domain experience, knowledge, education, motivation, and intelligence generally failed with comparable, difficult projects. This survey appears to be a meaningful way to assess intuition potential of R&D personnel.
