Abstract:The article discusses a marketing approach called the Long Tail concept. This internet-based economy has been successful in focusing on highly specialized services and products with low volume, but high value demand. The success of Long Tail is based on advanced communication technology and social networking providing people access to broad range of information and services. Increased global competition is one of the concept's challenges, and through geographic considerations, Long Tail marketing is better able to differentiate niche products and consummate the tourist experience.
