| Abstract: | The extreme scarcity of tin plate so far will lead to the cease - production of such light industrial products as canned food and a soaring price. China needs 500000 tons of tin plate each year, but only about 150000 tons is produced annually at home, with a shortage of 74 percent. Restrained by the import quota of tin plate, China Light Industrial Materials Corporation, the largest agent of import of tin plate in China, imports a very small amount of tin plate and can ,by no means, satisfy the demands for tin plate products in China. |
