Abstract:In France, while the merits of the sectoral agreement implementing the 35-hours week in the metalworking industry remain the subject of a heated debate, other sectors have either concluded accords or are in the middle of negotiations. Meanwhile, at company level, preliminary research shows that more than 2,500 jobs have been saved or created as a result of some 200 company-level loi Aubry accords. In this feature, the latest developments are examined.
